The congregation Betesda is housed in a beautiful white building at Biskupstøð and is a landmark of Klaksvík’s townscape.
Betesda is home to the Plymouth Brethren whose first congregational home in Klaksvík was built in 1917. The new building replaces the old congreational home that was built in 1962 and stood on the same site. The new Betesda opened in 2014. A significant part of the work was done by volunteers. The building is estimated to have cost around DKK 27 million.
FUGLARK architects designed Betesda and the building is well equipped with modern light and sound systems.
Thursday mornings 10-12 there is a free café, where locals and guests gather to for a cup of tea or coffee , and there is also music.
